Inviting talent for Entertainment Committee events at the 12th World Zoroastrian Congress 2022 NYC

Dear ZAGNY, IZA, and ZAPANJ members,

WZC2022 is less than a year away! Preparations to welcome participants to NYC from July 1-4, 2022 are gaining momentum and we are excited to invite our talented tri-state community to join us in creating exceptional entertainment programs for the WZC2022.

Opportunities to showcase your talent are highlighted below   

MULTIMEDIA PERFORMANCE:

We are looking for talent in the following areas

On Stage:

Ensemble Cast

  • approximately 50 cast members are required for this Opening Ceremony performance that will set the stage for an unforgettable WZC2022.
  • cast members will not be required to memorize any dialogues.
  • cast will be part of a vocal/movement ensemble.
  • ages eight years and older are invited to sign up.
  • cast will meet in person at least once a month at the NY Dar-e-Mehr starting in October/November 2021, and more frequently three months prior to the WZC2022.  

Backstage:

  1. Assistant Director
  2. Stage Manager
  3. AV Manager
  4. Lighting Designer/Manager
  5. Costume Manager
  6. Make-up Artist
  7. Hair stylist

All backstage participants will work closely under the guidance of the Director to synchronize various aspects of the performance, collaborate with the cast, and support the Director’s vision in developing an outstanding performance.

FASHION PANORAMA:

We are looking for talent in the following areas –

On Stage:

  1. Participants to create an engaging presentation of costumes and fashions.
  • approximately 25 female and 10 male participants are required for this Gala Night entertainment segment.
  • ages 16 years and older are invited to sign up.
  • participants will meet starting in February/March 2022, and more frequently in person three months prior to the WZC2022.

Backstage:

  1. Costume Coordinator
  2. Wardrobe Assistant with sewing skills
  3. Make-up Artist
  4. Hair Stylist

All backstage participants will work closely with the Director and participants and support the Director’s vision in developing an outstanding performance.

Directors of both performances will coordinate with members of the World Zoroastrian Symphony Orchestra to provide musical input as needed.

All participants will show a proof of vaccination against COVID 19 to be eligible to participate

All participants will have to be registered for WZC2022 (including meals, accomodation, parking); there will be no exceptions
