DATES & VENUE:

What are the dates of the Congress?

The 12th World Zoroastrian Congress 2022 will begin on Friday, July 1, 2022, at 8:30 am. The Congress will end on Monday, July 4, 2022, at 12:00 noon.

Registrants are recommended to check-in to the Hotel the night before, and check-out on July 4, 2022.

Where will the Congress be held?

The Congress will be held at the New York Hilton Midtown in the heart of New York City – mid-town Manhattan enjoys a prime location close to major New York City attractions such as The Museum of Modern Art, Central Park, Radio City Music Hall, Rockefeller Center and Times Square.

Parking at the Hotel

There is no free parking at the hotel. We are looking into special rates at nearby parking facilities.

 

REGISTRATION:

When will registration begin?

Registration is expected to begin sometime in the last quarter of 2021.

What are the registration rates?

Registration rates will be made available when Registration launches online. Stay tuned.

What current health and safety protocols are the Congress organizers following with regard to COVID-19?

The planning committee is dedicated to preserving the health and well-being of all its participants, organizers and volunteers. We are, and will continue to follow all federal, state and local guidelines issued by the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention). These will be updated on a regular basis on our website, as changes are instituted. Please rest assured that the safety of our participants will be of paramount consideration in our decision making.

What does my Registration cover?

Registration includes access to:

  • all regular Congress sessions;
  • coffee/tea during scheduled coffee breaks between sessions;
  • three lunches, one each on Friday, Saturday and Sunday;
  • A performance by the World Zoroastrian Symphony Orchestra (date TBD) and
  • The Gala Banquet Night Dinner on Sunday.

All attendees, adults and children, must inform us in advance of any allergies and special dietary requirements through the Registration Form.

Can I pay registration fees via a credit card?

Yes, online registration with credit card payments will be available. All payments must be made in U.S. Dollars and all major credit cards will be accepted.

Do I have to register for all four days?

Yes, registration covers all four days of the Congress. There is no registration for partial days.
Registration does not cover hotel room reservations – see information under HOTEL RESERVATIONS below.

Will Add-on Events be offered? When and how can I register?

Stay tuned for information on other exciting events we will be offering during the Congress.
These will be offered at an additional charge and you may opt to sign-up for them when completing your Registration form.

Can I register for the Gala Banquet Night Dinner only?

Since the Gala Banquet Night Dinner is included in the registration, we will prioritize availability for Congress registrants. ONLY after Congress registration has closed, we will offer any additional seating available on a first come, first serve basis. Total registrations will be subject to Hotel capacity restrictions.

Gala Banquet Night Dinner Only registration dates and rates will be posted closer to event date.  

 

HOTEL RESERVATIONS:

Do I have to make Hotel room reservations for all four days?

No, Hotel room rates and reservations are offered on a per-night basis.

Do I have to book my Hotel stay when registering for the Congress?

Yes, you will need to book your Hotel room through the Hotel’s website. Please refer to the Hotel rules on their website when making your reservations.

A special rate has been negotiated with the Hotel for Congress attendees beginning from three days before and ending three days after the Congress dates. A reservation code will be available when you register for the Congress. There are limited rooms reserved at the negotiated rates and we encourage you to book your Hotel rooms as soon as you register for the Congress to ensure room availability.

Check-in time is 3:00 pm and check-out time is 12:00 noon.

 

CHILDREN ACCOMPANYING YOU TO THE CONGRESS:

Do Infants ages 0-4 years have to register for the Congress?

Yes, infants 0-4 years of age accompanying parents/guardians to the Congress will have to be registered for the Congress at the Infant Registration Rate.

What are the benefits of registering infants 0-4 years of age and young children up to age 13 years?

All registered infants and children up to the age of 13 years will benefit from access to:

  • Baby-sitting service

A registered infant, 0-4 years of age, may avail of the baby-sitting services during the sessions.
Children under 4 years of age will not be allowed in the regular Congress sessions. They may attend the Congress lunches, dinners, opening and closing ceremonies, gala banquet night dinner, and entertainment when accompanied by a parent.

  • Kids Meals

Registered infants and children up to age 13 years will be provided with Kids Meals (please inform us in advance through the Registration Form if your child has any allergies/special dietary requirements).

  • Exclusive Kids Club and Tween Track

Kids ages 5-9 years may avail of the Kids Club, a program tailored to introduce the youngest attendees to our religion through age-appropriate educational, interactive, fun, and friendship-fostering programs.

Kids ages 10-13 years may avail of the Tween Track, which will include educational activities relating to our religion with arts & crafts, and games aimed at creating a bond amongst the group.

These Programs will be run by our caring children’s class educators. These Programs will run parallel to the regular Congress sessions so that parents may drop off their child(ren) and pick them up during breaks and meals. Look out for more information on our website and news blasts.

Can my child attend the regular Congress sessions?

Yes, if they are 5 years of age or older and accompanied by a parent.

 

ARRIVING AT THE CONGRESS:

When I arrive at the venue, where should I collect my Registration Package?

A Registration Desk for the Congress will open in the East & West Foyers of the Hotel on Thursday, June 30, 2022, 1:00 pm onwards. At that time, you will receive your Registration Package including your name tag, ticket for the Gala Banquet Night and if applicable your tickets for any Add-on events you have registered for.

We encourage you to collect your Registration Package as soon as you check-in to the Hotel to avoid delay and long lines.

Registration Desk will be open during the first two days of the Congress.

What should I bring to obtain my Registration Package?

A picture ID or passport and your registration confirmation email.

Visa requirements

Please inquire in your home country what the formalities are for obtaining a visit visa to the USA.

 

What airports can I fly into?

New York is served by three major international airports.

  • John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK)
  • LaGuardia International Airport (LGA)
  • Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR)

The above are all a taxi ride to the Hotel venue. Taxis are available at all airports for your convenience. Closer to the event we may provide discount codes for App cab rides like Uber and Lyft.
